Physician Availability

  • Medical Director rounds weekly. The MD rounds to all residents needing care each week including all new admissions within 5 days of admit. The Medical Director reviews all nurse notes and meets with the Nurse Practitioner for resident updates and care planning.

  • Nurse Practitioner rounds 1-2 times per week. The NP reviews labs, x-rays, visits residents in real time to provide medical care as needed, visits all new admissions within 24 hours and reports findings to the Medical Director.

  • Wound Care Physician rounds weekly. Our Wound Care physician partnership enhances our wound care program by providing regular treatment and oversight for resident wound needs.

  • Cardiology Physician rounds regularly. Our cardiology physician partnership supports heart health by providing consistent monitoring, treatment, and oversight tailored to each resident’s cardiac care needs.

  • Psychiatrist rounds weekly at the facility, providing personalized behavioral and emotional health support in a familiar, comfortable environment. This added support helps promote residents’ overall well-being while giving families peace of mind.

Specialized Practitioners

The following specialized practitioners visit our facility:

  • Ophthalmologist rounds quarterly.

  • Dentist rounds quarterly.

  • Audiology rounds quarterly.

  • Podiatry rounds twice quarterly.

These specialists come to St. Joseph Chateau and provide direct care in our residents’ home ensuring a comfortable location and ease of access to care.

St. Joseph Chateau also offers Hospice Services with the provider of choice for residents. Our Hospice teams provide patient-centered care with a variety of service options, including music therapy, massage therapy, chaplain services, end-stage dementia support, and sensory comfort items such as weighted teddy bears or stress balls. In addition, our hospice partners provide palliative and respite care to support residents’ comfort, quality of life, and the needs of their families.
